Visitor Information

Offices of the JR Travel Information Center and Japan Travel Bureau are at major train stations. They can help you book local tours, hotel reservations, and travel tickets. You shouldn't assume English will be spoken, but someone usually speaks sufficiently well for your basic needs. Where public transportation is infrequent, such as the Noto-hanto and Sado-ga-shima, local tours are available; however, the guides usually speak only Japanese or limited English.
