Passports and Visas

Visas on arrival are available to passport holders of most countries, including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and European Union. Visas cost US$25 and are valid for 30 days. Your passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of arrival, and you need a ticket out of Indonesia. Bring $25 cash to speed the process. Visa renewal for 30 days more costs another $25, but it’s worth paying your hotel or a visa agency as much as Rp350,000 additional to do the legwork. For extensions, they will need to take your passport for up to a week.
