Hotels

India's main hotel groups are represented in this region, providing increased amenities and efficiency at increasing prices. More and more good, air-conditioned hotels cater to India's upper-middle class and businesspeople, but such places can be generic. Outside the old British cantonment areas, where most top hotels are clustered, and often closer to the center of town, you'll find well-run guest houses and small heritage hotels. Unless otherwise specified, you can expect private bath, phone, and TV in your room.
