Air Travel

There are domestic airports in Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Udaipur (there's also a new airport in Jaisalmer, but civilian flights are still suspended as of this writing). Popular domestic airline carriers to these three cities include Jet Airways, Air India, IndiGo, Go Air, and SpiceJet. Note that air connections between cities in Rajasthan are nonexistent and must be made via Delhi or Mumbai.

Airports and Transfers

Jaipur's Sanganer Airport is about 13 km (8 miles) south of town; a taxi into town costs about Rs. 250 if you call for a radio taxi, or Rs. 360 for a private non-a/c taxi and Rs. 400 for a private a/c taxi. Jodhpur's airport is 5 km (3 miles) from the city center; a taxi into town costs about Rs. 600. Udaipur's Dabok Airport is 25 km (16 miles) from the city center; the ride costs about Rs. 750. You can also book and pay for a car to pick you up from the airport online (www.makemytrip.com or www.savaari.com ).
