Visitor Information

The West Bengal Tourist Office is open Monday through Saturday 10 to 5. The regional Government of India Tourist Office is well equipped to help baffled travelers; it's open Monday–Saturday 9–6. The Kolkata Information Centre is also helpful. The West Bengal Tourist Office is in the heart of Kolkata's business hub, but people here will only be able to give you information about destinations within the state. The Government of India Tourist Office, near the city center, gives more of an overall picture (including the state). The staff is friendly to boot.
