Kolkata has seen the launch of several top-end five-star hotels and establishments over the years, besides medium and budget options mainly for business travelers.

Unless otherwise noted, hotels have air-conditioning, room TVs, and operate on the European meal plan (no meals included). Better hotels have foreign-exchange facilities, and most have rooms with bathrooms that have tubs. Some luxury hotels have exclusive floors with special privileges or facilities for the business traveler.
