Money Matters

Money can be changed in major hotels, at the Bank of China, and in Kunming airport.

In all cities in this chapter, bank cards on the VISA, MasterCard, Cirrus, or Plus systems can be used at ATMs displaying their respective logos. ABC, Bank of China, and ICBC are your best bets. When traveling to remote parts of the region, have cash on hand, as ATMs accepting foreign cards are rare, and that includes those belonging to the above banks.
