Bur Dubai and the South Bank

Most of Dubai's important historical attractions are located in this area along the south bank, just a stone's throw from the creek. In Bur Dubai, fortifications, galleries, historic mosques, and the city's last remaining historic quarters are within easy reach of one another. Delving further south and away from the creek will bring you into more commercial areas, like Karama, which contain exotic and wacky products from the subcontinent and some of Dubai's best "genuine fakes." To the East are the districts of Oud Metha and Jaddaf, which are just a bridge hop from the airport, and will be home to future cultural villages and art hubs.
