As hotels in Tunis go, this one has fewer problems than a great many in the city, with the advantage of possessing local charm and a fabulous location near the medina. While the service staff is friendly and generally helpful, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable (though dated), luck plays a big part in the rest of your stay. For example, whether or not the air conditioning and Wi-Fi are working and what the decibel level is at any given time is quite up to chance.
