Rafting and Canoeing

The Breede River has tiny rapids near Worcester, where it twists and turns between clumps of palmiet (river reeds) and overgrown banks.

River Rafters. Using two-person inflatables, River Rafters offers a one-day trip for R655 (R545 for children under 18). If you want to do more than just float down the river, they can add in some wine tasting with wines from the valley and mountain biking for an extra fee. Wildthing Adventures. Now part of the well-established Felix Unite river-rafting company, Wildthing Adventures runs river trips down the Breede. Enjoy a two-night stay at bungalows near the river and head out each day to negotiate some rapids or drift lazily along, depending on the water levels.
