There are lovely views across the lagoon to Knysna, some 6½ km (4 miles) away, at this attractive establishment where accommodation is offered in airy cottages that face each other across a lawn sloping down to a jetty. Choose from one- and two-bedroom units, all with dining areas, sitting rooms with fireplaces, and fully equipped kitchens. The manor house is a restored 1849 farmstead, with a restaurant and guest lounge. In summer, breakfast is served on the veranda overlooking the lagoon. Sizable discounts are offered for long stays. Be sure to ask for a Lagoon Room (as the Garden Rooms don't have a view of the water).
