Roodepoort is a residential suburb to the west of Johannesburg in what is known as the West Rand, a drive of about 45 minutes to an hour from the city center. Its top attraction is the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden, and it’s also relatively close to the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site.
