Fodor's Expert Review The Stables Wine Estate

KwaZulu-Natal is an official Wine of Origin area accredited by the Wine and Spirits Board of South Africa (the Northern Cape and Western Cape are also official sites), and The Stables was the first estate to bottle a wine in the area. You'll find a wide range of wines on offer including a sparkling wine, a red blend and a port; or decide for yourself when you have a wine tasting and sip up to five wines (R20). Wines can be purchased from the farm, as can cheese plates if you feel like lingering and having a snack with your wine. There's also a mouth-watering selction of coffee beans.
