Fodor's Expert Review Sababa
This bright, all-white café on trendy Bree Street is the go-to place for delicious, creative, and relatively healthful Middle Eastern–style fare. Hebrew slang for "awesome" or "great," Sababa is aptly named. A main table is laden with numerous salads like quinoa with roasted vegetables and cranberries, pesto potato with peas and olives, and green beans with orange and hazlenut. Both mezes, like dolmades or roast eggplant, and mains, which are slightly bigger than small plates, like butter chicken, falafel, or lamb-and-lentil biryani, are stellar. For a set price, you can load up with three or four salads and mezes, plus one main, and eat at the counter inside or a handful of tables outside, or take away. Don't forget to check out the fantastic desserts like date balls or poppyseed cake with white chocolate ganache. Falafel dinners are served Thursday only.
