Fodor's Expert Review Hussar Grill
This branch of one of the Cape's favorite steak houses offers an unpretentious and friendly place to enjoy excellent and reasonably priced steaks and ribs in an area where restaurants tend to focus more on views than food. A few minutes' drive away from Camps Bay's main beach drag, the interior here is more Boston than Miami—all leather booths and historic photographs, well suited to the carnivorous feast that awaits. The gin-and-tomato soup or chicken livers with garlic, brandy, and cream are classic starters. For the main event, the meat-on-the-bone options are superb, and your waiter should inform you how many days the various cuts have been aged (older = more flavor). Game meat and burgers are also delicious, and the wine list is impressively long.
