Fodor's Expert Review Inn at Castle Hill

This reasonably priced inn in an Edwardian villa is a pleasant stroll away from charming Kalk Bay's numerous restaurants, antiques shops, and seaside. Some of the spacious rooms enjoy wonderful views over False Bay, and all are individually decorated in keeping with the villa's era. Beautifully decorated public spaces filled with (slightly dusty) antiques, and a large verandah and pleasant courtyard provide numerous places to relax with a good book. Though breakfast is provided only at a neighboring inn at an extra charge, you may prefer to explore Kalk Bay's many cafés and find your own option. Be sure to ask for a room that opens onto the verandah.
