Tiznit

Typically a lunch stop en route to somewhere else, Tiznit is not a popular destination for tourists. But it is a great base for exploring the surrounding area and for those who dislike the high-rise, beach-resort feel of Agadir. The restaurant scene isn’t great, but a couple of smaller guesthouses have emerged in recent years that serve excellent homemade cuisine. The big draw of Tiznit is its reputation as Morocco's silver center. Otherwise it has few sights, and even the ones it does have are currently under restoration as of this writing.
