Festivals

There is a good sprinkling of festivals in the region. L’Boulevard, which takes place in Casablanca in early or late summer, is an annual competition among local and foreign artists that is popular with the younger crowd. Rabat’s Mawazine festival, usually staged between May and June, has achieved international recognition, bringing high-quality performers to Morocco. Note that exact festival dates vary according to Ramadan; many festivals are not held during their typical period due to the holiday, so scheduling can be unpredictable.
