Fodor's Expert Review Hyatt Regency Casablanca
Pl. des Nations Unies, Casablanca, Casablanca-Settat, 20000, Morocco
Casablanca's most conspicuous hotel occupies a large site next to Place des Nations Unies and overlooks the old medina. Rooms are generous but somewhat plain, featuring wood accents and Arabic calligraphy art, but with thoughtful touches like large executive desks, comfortable armchairs, and bathrooms with tubs. Those on the top floors also have some of the city's most spectacular views of the Hassan II Mosque. There are various dining choices, too: you can savor Moroccan and Parisian-style bistro cuisine inside or opt for a Mediterranean meal out by the pool. The Black House disco provides after-dark entertainment.
PROS
- popular Black House disco
- upper-floor rooms have fantastic views
- excellent service and facilities
CONS
- rather blocklike exterior
- lacks the intimacy of smaller lodgings
- expensive
