Planning Your Time

A day trip to the Golan Heights from Tiberias is doable, but there's something about the lush foliage and the mountain air that makes you want to linger. Three or four days is ideal to explore the region, including visiting Tzfat, doing some wine tasting, hiking a piece of wilderness, kayaking, or just kicking back in a room with a stunning view. The ideal way to see this area is by car, though local buses will get you almost anywhere you want to go if you have time.
