Chef Erez Komarovsky’s cooking workshops are held in his home in Matat, which is surrounded by gardens of fresh herbs and vegetables. An unforgettable day of fine food, great wine, and breathtaking views will give you plenty of inspiration as you can learn recipes to bring home with you. The dishes are all seasonal and focus on local ingredients: think red snapper tartare with avocado, fish steamed in banana leaves, lamb stuffed with pistachios, and fennel sautéed in saffron-infused clarified butter. At lunch you enjoy everything you've prepared, along with slabs of crusty bread. Matat is 14 km (9 miles) west of Mount Meron.
