Why We Like It

Rothschild Boulevard has been called the Champs Elysees of Tel Aviv, and for good reason. It's handsome, charming and always bustling, no matter what the house. The hotel draws directly from that energy, offering great amenities and comfortable service in a divine location.

Fodor's Expert Review

This skyscraper-housed hotel shares real estate with the offices of some of Tel Aviv's biggest startup companies, making it an ideal choice for corporate travelers and infusing the entire property with a slick, well-designed, lets-get-down-to-business attitude. Well-appointed rooms, solid amenities and a great urban location add to the appeal.

Tip The Tel Aviv headquarters of Facebook are housed in the same tower as this hotel, but those employees use a different elevator -- so if you want to give them a "like," you'll have to hope to for a meet-cute in the lobby.

Room

All five categories of rooms in Rothschild 22 feature cream-and-white color schemes, giving off a neutral, peaceful flair. Many offer great views of bustling Rothschild boulevard, and all offer touchscreen light fixtures, in-room Nespresso machines and cozy knit throw blankets for a bit of extra charm.

Tip For a view of both the boulevard and the seashore, book a room on a higher floor. And for single travelers looking to save a little cash, ask to book a "single room," which is a bit smaller and features a more narrow bed, but doesn't skimp at all on the amenities.

Bathroom

As bright and sleek as the building itself, the bathrooms offer rainfall showerheads, Dead Sea toiletries and plenty of space.

Lobby

The lobby is crisp and modern, with a sleek white check-in counter, cubic seating and an interesting laser-cut marquetry wall.

You Should Know The hotel lobby is also the entrance to a bustling business building, so hanging out here means dodging suits and tapping into a frenzied, corporate energy. It's not the most relaxing place to gather your thoughts.

Gym

Open 24/7 and featuring all the bells and whistles for cardio, the gym also boasts a stellar sound system, a TRX set and a padded rubber floor for shock absorption.

Dining

A top-of-the-line buffet breakfast is included in most room rates, but there's no designated restaurant for lunch or dinner.

What's Nearby

Getting Around

Taxis, buses and the bright yellow "5" shared minibus are all in easy reach from busy Rothschild Boulevard, but your best mode of transport -- and the one favored by locals -- is to jump on a bicycle and pedal down Rothschild's smooth, flat bike line. Free bicycles are available for rental via the front desk.

Restaurants

For modern fusion with market-fresh fare (and sweeping sea views to boot!), head to Kitchen Market (20-minute drive); meanwhile, OCD (10-minute drive), where theatrics and five-star dining merge into a once-in-a-lifetime experience, is as much a show as it is an exquisite meal.

Bars

Thirsty? Try Imperial (12-minute drive). Named one of the world’s best cocktail bars for a reason this hole-in-the-wall, hidden inside the unassuming imperial hotel, is a local’s favorite; or Bellboy (18-minute walk), a cozy, Prohibition-era-inspired spot serving up perfectly mixed cocktails with a fun speakeasy vibe.
