In the 1930s this was the Esther Cinema, one of the first movie theaters in Tel Aviv. Skip the elevator and take the elegant winding staircase from the lobby to the various floors: when restoring it, the architect left the depressions made by thousands of moviegoers over the decades. Vintage projection equipment, tickets, playbills, and other paraphernalia give the feel of a truly charming museum. The comfortable guest rooms have black decor and reading lamps that look like tiny spotlights. The hotel has a sunny terrace with a wonderful view of Dizengoff Circle.
You Should Know As of 2018, Dizengoff Circle is under massive construction as the city rebuilds the traffic circle and elevated park that once stood there. Expect a lot of dust and noise, as well as the eyesore of a construction site, as you come and go from the hotel.

Done up in shades of plum, cream and black, the rooms are stylish and keep the cinema theme close. There's a mirrored desk, soft velvet chair, patterned rug, and of course, the spotlight-shaped lights.
Tip Request a room on a higher floor with a city view to get a great vantage point for staring upon the White City.

Bathrooms are snug but offer Dead Sea toiletries and powerful showers.

The Golden Age of Cinema comes back to life in the Cinema Hotel's lobby, from its massive vintage camera that takes center stage as you walk in the door to the weathered film posters that greet you as you climb its winding central staircase.
