Why We Like It

Great style, cheerful energy and lots of comfort make this hotel a solid package. The beachfront location combined with an unmistakable urban vibe brings the best of both worlds.

Fodor's Expert Review

This design-centric, Bridget Bardot-inspired cousin of the landmark Brown TLV hotel welcomes guests with a cherry, mod, 60s-inspired aesthetic and plenty of fun-infused luxury. Located just one block from the water and featuring a warm lobby, large and sunny rooms and fun perks like beach bags and free bike rental, this is a hotel that works hard to put you in a good mood, and will likely succeed.

You Should Know The Brown Beach House sits in one of the most developing areas of Tel Aviv, which means you've got great proximity to the beach but will also have to look at (and listen to) a fair amount of construction noise.

Room

Black and yellow, black and yellow... the generous-sized rooms here ooze cool with huge geometric rugs, four poster beds and bright pops of sunshine. Most rooms sport a sleek yellow sofa and a sun terrace as well.

Tip Are you traveling alone and not in need of much space? The smaller urban room keeps costs low without sacrificing much; best of all, you'll get a lush king-sized bed all to yourself.

Bathroom

Bathrooms sport white marble countertops and a comfortable walk-in shower. There's soft lighting around the mirrors, which flatters at all angles.

Lobby

The style meter is cranked to high in the Brown Beach House's fun lobby, where a crammed bookshelf is complimented by sprawling ferns, bright furniture and an undeniable Miami Beach funhouse vibe.

Spa

The small but adequate spa offers a special emphasis on couples' treatments, and is boosted by an outdoor jacuzzi and a comfortable waiting room.

Dining

The in-house cafe serves only breakfast, but the menu was created by beloved chef Meir Adoni and is fresh and tasty.

Drinking

If you can't see your drink by the flight of the giant florescent Flamingo that hangs on the wall of the indoor/outdoor Flamingo Bar, then it probably just means you're getting into the party vibe. With lively music, a rich cocktail menu and the same great decor as the downstairs lobby, the bar is popular with locals and tourists.

What's Nearby

Getting Around

HaYarkon Street can be crowded and congested, but cross it heading west and you'll be at Tel Aviv's flat, tranquil beach promenade, which is ideal for walking, jogging or cycling. For all buses and easy taxi access, head east one block to Ben Yehuda Street.

Restaurants

There's rich Mexican flavors and lots of energy at the dark and smoky La Otra (1-minute walk), just next door; for a true taste of Tel Aviv's freshest flavors and most laid-back youthful energy, head to the always-crowded Port Said (10-minute drive) and feast in the open air.

Bars

Cocktail aficionados are in luck at the Brown Beach House, because the world-renowned Imperial Cocktail Bar (1-minute walk), named best in the Middle East, lies directly next door; for a sea-salt flavored experience, head to the beach and grab a spot at lively Gordo (12-minute walk).
