Fodor's Expert Review Isabella
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
With walls in muted gray tones, a brushed-cement floor, and dark-wood tables with leather chairs, this restaurant at the bottom of the German Colony is a warm and inviting atmosphere in which to enjoy modern Italian cuisine. Among the appetizers, try the antipasti, the eggplant carpaccio in garlic-lemon-tahini sauce, or the excellent kadayef-wrapped shrimp. Street side on the patio or inside with the crowd, you can enjoy Isabella's signature dish: veal fillet and goose liver in a port and Cabernet sauce. Families will be happy with the attentive service.
