Eilat

At its heart, Eilat is one long oceanfront resort, and the town takes pride in its beaches. It’s not unusual to hear locals bragging about the clarity of the water and the quality of the snorkeling, scuba diving, and other water sports. Beach managers ensure the cleanliness of their sections, which everyone refers to as North and South Beaches. Look for beaches with large white signs indicating that swimming is authorized. Here you’ll find lifeguards that are usually on duty until 4 or 5 in the afternoon. Many beaches turn into clubs after sunset, with plenty of music and dancing.

Many outdoor activities can be arranged through your hotel. Several tour operators maintain desks in the lobbies of larger hotels.
