Fodor's Expert Review Shapiro Beer

Beit Shemesh

Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.

"Jerusalem's Beer" is actually brewed in Beit Shemesh, but brothers Dani, Itzik, and Avi learned how in their Jerusalem basement. The three main beers are an oatmeal stout, wheat beer, and pale ale, all labeled with a Jerusalem lion downing a bottle. Call in advance to tour the brewery and sip a few samples in the tiny kitchen overlooking the floor.
