Occupying 60 acres on pastoral Kings Island, the Maritim's exotic plants and flowering trees attract a multitude of migrating and local birds. The low, vine-covered clusters of bungalow-style rooms dispersed about the property are spacious, immaculate, and homey, despite the plain-Jane Danish furniture. There is a good program of activities for children, which is rare in hotels on the Nile.
