About the Restaurants

The centuries-long Portuguese rule has left a subtle mark on Angola’s cuisine, and signature African stews and starchy dishes mark everyday meals. Dishes are well spiced, and seafood plays a big role in native, Portuguese and fusion dishes—grilled fish and fish stews are especially popular. Mongozo is a traditional beer made from palm nuts, but a number of commercial beers are brewed as well.
