Civil war left parts of Angola in shambles, but new hotels continue to rise. Rooms are getting easier to book online, which is important to know because hotels fill up quickly. Make reservations a few months in advance, and reconfirm at least a week before your arrival. Be aware that prices are high—expect a five-star rate at even the most humble hotels. Inns and bed-and-breakfasts are not as reliable as hotels.
