Spend Golden Hour at the Guggenheim This Summer

gug

Sunny summer days that set into dusky evenings call for time spent taking in the beauty of color and light—and what better place to do so than at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, which will extend its hours to 9 pm each Tuesday night from June 20 through August 28.

The ‘Summer of Know’ series is “a weekly conversation series that pairs contemporary artists who think deeply about urgent social, political, environmental, or legal challenges facing our world today, with individuals who tackle those issues from outside of the cultural sphere,” and are moderated by Guggenheim curators. Additionally in August, a selection of films will be presented. Adding to the celebration of summer, specialty cocktails will be available for purchase.

Summer exhibitions includeVisionaries: Creating a Modern Guggenheim (through September 6); Doug Wheeler: PSAD Synthetic Desert III (through August 2); The Hugo Boss Prize 2016: Anicka Yi, Life Is Cheap (through July 5); Maurizio Cattelan: “America” (ongoing); and Mystical Symbolism: The Salon de la Rose+Croix in Paris, 1892–1897 (opening June 30).
