We’ve put together four amazing vacations for just under $1K.

Have you ever wondered where you can go within a certain travel budget? This month, we’re going to let our piggy bank be our guide and take a look at where we can go for a set price: $1,000. We’ll cover airfare and lodging and see just how far we can go without exceeding our budget.

7 Nights in Iceland for $790

WHERE: Reykjavik, Iceland

Although not the most reliable carrier (there’s a higher risk of canceled flights with this airline), WOW Air lists some incredible deals to Iceland from Boston, Detroit, New York, and Washington airports. It’s possible to book one-way flights from one of these U.S. cities to Iceland, the Land of Fire and Ice for just $99 for March dates. After you add a checked bag to your fare and a seat selection, you’d be looking at about $300 for a round-trip flight.

Rent an apartment in Reykjavik on Airbnb for about $70 per night for a total of $490 (or make more room in your budget and split the cost with a companion) and go on an adventure! Iceland’s capital is within driving distance to many attractions, including the Golden Circle and the Blue Lagoon. And don’t forget, the days are still short in March, and you have a great chance at catching the Northern Lights.

5 Days in Punta Cana for $969

WHERE: Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

If you’re more into sandy beaches than icy mountains, we have options for you too. Fort Lauderdale residents can take advantage of some great last-minute deals and catch some rays in the Dominican Republic this March. Just because you’re out of college, it doesn’t mean Spring Break has to stop.

Cheap Caribbean offers many travel packages to those looking for a beach vacation, and among them is a deal that includes nonstop flights to Punta Cana on JetBlue and four nights at the Bavaro Princess All Suites Resort Spa & Casino for $969 per person. Take it all in at this luxury all-inclusive beach-front hotel and rejuvenate your mind at the onsite spa.

3 OF 4

8 Nights in Ireland for $1,000

Groupon Getaways is full of random vacation ideas, and some offer a nice bang for your buck. At the moment, Great Value Vacations is offering a sale on a trip to Ireland. You’ll visit Waterford, Limerick, Sligo, Wicklow, and Dublin and stay at charming bed and breakfasts along the way.

Options under $1,000 per person include departures from Chicago, New York, Newark and Los Angeles on select dates in March. This travel package even includes an economy car, and you can self-drive through this island country and take as much time as you need rolling from one hill to another. Where else would you rather be if not Ireland on St. Patrick’s Day?

4 OF 4

A 14-Night Cruise to Miami for $679+

For those with more time on their hands, we recommend taking a repositioning cruise. Every now and then, a cruise liner needs to change locations to meet demand, so it takes an overwater journey from one port to another without returning to its original port of departure. You get to spend more time at sea but also visit less popular ports of call and save money while doing so.

For example, Norwegian’s Norwegian Star takes a 14-night trip on March 30 from Los Angeles (San Pedro) to Miami and makes stops in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; Acapulco, Mexico; Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala; San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua; Puntarenas, Costa Rica; and Cartagena, Colombia, via Panama Canal. Inside cabins are selling for $679 per person. Depending on where you live, positioning flights might run you $200 to $300. For example, if you’re as far away as New York City, Google Flights can get you there for around $200.
