If you’re fully vaccinated, you don’t need to take a pre-arrival COVID test. Kids under the age of 12 are also exempt from testing. However, travelers have to apply for a travel health visa before their trip, which requires proof of vaccination and opt-in for mandatory health insurance. There are also curfews, travel restrictions, and mask mandates in the country, and fines will be imposed on those who don’t comply.

The Scandinavian country announced last month that it’s reopening for fully vaccinated American tourists without asking for a negative COVID test result. Self-isolation and mandatory quarantine are also scrapped for OECD countries, of which the US is a part.

To travel to Greenland, which is an autonomous territory within the Kingdom of Denmark, you will need to get tested and self-isolate regardless of your vaccination status. Travelers either need to present proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test upon arrival. The embassy website states those who have received their two jabs (or one Johnson & Johnson shot) may be admitted to the country with proof of vaccination. Flights to Georgia have resumed, health screenings are possible at the airports, public transport is functional (with masks), and curfews are imposed country-wide.

Now it’s officially open to travelers from some countries, including the U.S. Fully vaccinated travelers can show proof of vaccination upon entry to Greece. All vacationers need to complete an online Passenger Locator Form at least 48 hours before arrival, and there may be rapid tests conducted at the airport.

Restaurants, hotels, museums, and retail shops are operating (with some restrictions), and masks are still required indoors. It is in a state of emergency until July 10, but international flights have been permitted to enter Morocco. If you are a fully vaccinated passenger from a List A country (the U.S. is included), you can be admitted through your vaccine certificate. List B country passengers need a COVID negative test and have to undergo quarantine. There are restrictions and curfews that might interfere with your plans, so it’s best to know about these beforehand. The country is also enforcing social distancing, masking, and temperature checks.

The U.S.-Mexico land border is closed until July 21, but travelers can still fly south. Mexico doesn’t ask for a COVID negative test or mandatory quarantine, so it’s one of the most accessible places for those in the U.S. Your resort may ask you to fill out a health questionnaire, and you will need to get a PCR test done before flying back to America. Also, note that the CDC has issued a Level 3 warning for Mexico, asking travelers to reconsider their trip. The Central American country is accessible to tourists without a negative PCR test or quarantine, but you will need to complete their digital Health Pass. In addition, travelers also need insurance coverage that’ll cover the costs in case of medical expenses or quarantine. The country requires face coverings in all public areas. This European country is not on most travelers’ bucket lists, but now may be the time to find it on the map, just north of Greece. The travel advisory for Albania is Exercise Increased Caution (due to crime), but the CDC has given it a Level 1 warning due to the low number of COVID-19 cases.

Albania doesn’t ask travelers to undergo a COVID test to enter; however, there may be health screenings at airports or other ports of entry. Travelers from the U.S. also don’t need to quarantine on arrival.

Note: there is a curfew in place from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m., and bars and restaurants aren’t allowed to operate during that time. Public movement will also be restricted at these hours.
