The premise of Pixar’s Cars—automobiles are sentient beings in a universe with no humans—is spooky enough. But things are about to get even more bone-chilling (grilling?) next month, when Cars Land at Disney’s California Adventure Park unveils “Haul-O-Ween,” in time for the park’s Halloween happenings.
Load up on gasps and get ready for terror to kick into high gear as Radiator Springs becomes Radiator Screams; and that’s just the start of the suspension suspense. Wear your car-stume, clutch a friend, and get your wheel bearings as you navigate through “jack-oil lanterns” and “van-pires.”
Haul-O-Ween lasts from September 15 through October 31. Plan your trip so you can attend Mickey’s Halloween Party, which happens on 14 dates between September 20 and October 31, and features Disney characters in Halloween costumes, a spooky parade led by the Headless Horseman, trick-or-treating stations throughout the park, and a “supernatural” fireworks display. Other Halloween-time attractions at Disneyland and California Adventure Park include a ghoulish barbershop quartet known as the Cadaver Dans, the Haunted Mansion with a makeover inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas, and the Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy.
