These Hotel Stays in New Orleans and Ocean City Are Less Than $100!

Could it get any better than 75% off?

This summer, 87% of American travelers planned to go on vacation, according to Fodor’s Summer Travel Survey. The survey also revealed that a significant number of people had their eyes set on domestic destinations. Backyard travel became a big trend throughout the pandemic, and while the travel industry is grappling with a barrage of problems, domestic holidays are still an attractive option.

Fortunately, there is so much to see in the U.S., and with the gas prices coming down, you can plan a quick getaway even in the middle of the summer without stretching your budget.

New Orleans

New Orleans ranks high on the cool factor. The city has energy in its pores—a great culinary scene, a deeply festive spirit, and a rich amalgamation of cultures. Go museum hopping, appreciate live jazz performances, indulge in bowlfuls of gumbo, and attend an exuberant street party.

Since it’s a popular party destination, it can get expensive, especially during events and festivals. But the InterContinental New Orleans—located four blocks from the French Quarter—is offering 75% off on Travelzoo right now. The luxury hotel has newly-renovated rooms and suites, a heated outdoor rooftop pool and a fitness center, and a pub and a restaurant serving the best of the Big Easy.

Ocean City

Maryland’s resort town turns into a travelers’ playground in the summer. The beaches of Ocean City draw surfers and swimmers from near and far, and the boardwalk is a major entertainment hub with restaurants, stores, and activities. But the crowds start to recede at the end of summer, and you can plan a late summer or early fall trip to enjoy the town without bumping shoulders with anyone. There are multiple events and festivals in the fall season, including Wine on the Beach, Sunfest, and O.C.toberfest. Another advantage? The rates go down considerably.

Located 10-minute from the boardwalk, Tru by Hilton Ocean City Bayside is a pet-friendly hotel that opened in 2020. With free Wi-Fi, an indoor pool and fitness center, and parking spaces, it’s a great place to stay, and luckily, it’s also offering a 30% discount.

You can book a King or Two-Queen room from September 5-November 30 for $65-$89 per night on Sunday-Thursday and $89-$199 per night on Friday-Saturday. Breakfast is included, and some August dates are also available.
