Stacey Freed

Stacey Freed loves small-town living. She works from her home in a village just outside Rochester, N.Y. -- a secret jewel in the Finger Lakes, full of great brewpubs, music, art, and places to hike, bike, ski and paddle. In the past, she's lived in New York City, Washington, D.C., Arlington, Va., and Ithaca, N.Y., and even on a kibbutz in Israel. Her work has appeared in print and online in The Washington Post; USA Today and Better Homes & Gardens publications; AARP; OneZero/Medium; Forbes.com; This Old House; Professional Builder; Remodeling and other consumer and trade publications. She holds an MFA from George Mason University and is at work on a novel. Her essay, “Tourist No More,” published in She Can Find Her Way: Women Travelers at Their Best (Upper Hand Press, 2017), was nominated for a Pushcart Prize.
