Petrina Darrah is a freelance writer from New Zealand with a passion for outdoor adventure and sustainable travel. She has been writing about travel for more than 5 years and her work has appeared in print and digital publications including National Geographic Travel, Conde Nast Travel, Business Insider, Atlas Obscura and more. Formerly, she worked as a digital content manager for Tourism New Zealand, and she still loves sharing stories from her home country, which she has explored extensively in both her campervan and hiking boots. She has also previously lived in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania; Marseille, France; Baranquilla, Colombia; and traveled to dozens of countries in between.
