Q&A

  • Why do you travel?

To see the world in new ways. Not to be cheesy, but I believe “Travel is the only thing you can buy that makes you richer” is totally accurate.

  • What’s one thing you never travel without?

A good pair of shoes that can be dressed up or down.

  • What’s the first thing you do when you arrive in a new place?

I’m usually hangry, so I always try to have a few restaurants or cafes in mind to try around my hotel.

  • Do you like traveling solo?

Yes—it can be such a liberating experience, and you don’t have to mold to anyone else’s schedule.

  • Carry-on or checked?

    Carry-on! Less stuff, fewer problems.

  • What’s on your travel bucket list?

The Galapagos. Also Argentina. And New Zealand. It’s a long list.

  • Where’s your favorite beach in the world?

Destin, a gorgeous Florida beach with white sand and emerald water. Ok, so I’m biased-- it’s also one of the closest to my hometown.

  • What are your favorite countries, destinations to travel to

France holds a special place in my heart since I lived there for a year before moving to New York.

  • When were you first bitten by the travel bug?

My first time out of the U.S. was to Switzerland. The cheese! The chocolate! The mountains! Naturally, I was hooked.

  • What items do you always try to bring back as souvenirs?

A piece of jewelry or anything that can be worn. It’s functional and usually starts a conversation.
