Joshua Poyser

Joshua Poyser

As a journalism student, Joshua Poyser wrote for Mancunian Matters. He covered any and everything he could. From movie, dance, and opera reviews, to stories on food poverty, domestic abuse, and covid-19. Since then he has written for Euronews, Are We Europe, and a food magazine called Potluckzine. He graduated from the University of Manchester with a BA(hons) degree in business studies. A lot of his modules focused on international politics and development. In 2020 he got his journalism diploma from News Associates, in Manchester. He has traveled from a young age. His solo travels around Southeast Asia, Australia and East Africa inspired him to become a travel writer. Joshua dipped his toe into travel blogging during this time. But ever since he got his journalism qualification he has been pursuing and living that dream. Joshua has worked in pretty much every role in the hospitality industry. Mainly as a chef, but also as a barista, sales advisor, waiter, and duty manager. In the UK he has lived in Manchester, London, and North Yorkshire. He has also lived in Newcastle (Australia) and Kampala.
