She has written for GQ, Harper's, Washington Post, The Guardian, Playboy, Esquire, Food & Wine, Travel + Leisure, BBC, National Geographic Traveler, Afar, Texas Monthly, and many other publications. She has an MFA degree in creative writing (fiction) from the University of Montana and is the recipient of many honors and awards, including support from Yaddo and A Room of Her Own Foundation. Based in Dallas, Texas, she teaches for the Cedar Crest College MFA Program. She has been a full-time travel writer since 2015.
