Colleen is the diplomatic matriarch of an often nomadic family who aims to expose her kids to the humanity hidden in places most don't go. After nearly a decade in healthcare, she left the field to pursue her passion for writing in September 2022. She’s a contributor to Condé Nast Traveler, a regular features writer for Thrillist, journalist for the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, and more. She’s working on her first novel The Beginners Guide to Going Home. Colleen keeps a home base in Pittsburgh, PA, which she prefers to avoid during winter.
