Hotel Neighborhood for elderly tourists?

Senior couple (75+) planning on visit to Granddaughter student studying in Stockholm this Fall hoping to spend a few days. While her program will be held in Ostermalm, no info on location of family where she will be staying. Can you recommend a safe neighborhood for us to stay in, obviously near tourist sites and easy to get around to meet her and to tour while she is busy.

Thanks in advance.

Östermalm is probably the best option. It is a safe upmarket neighborhood in the center of Stockholm with many tourist sites within walking distance or a short cab ride away. Some of the best hotels in Stockholm can be found in Östermalm and the neighboring Norrmalm.
