Become Snowbirds Arizona 2025

Looking for recommendations on where to go in AZ for winter 2025. We were thinking Tuscon or Mesa possiblly but don't know the areas. Looking for 55+ community, either condo, home, or mobile home park to rent in. We would like someplace that has good amenities. Will consider other communities as well. Where do you recommend????

Tucson, (note spelling) is a much better choice than the urban sprawl of Mesa. Smaller size city, larger, higher mountains, greater Tucson area is 1 million pop vs Phoenix area is near 5 million, traffic etc.
We found our first rentals through friends who then gave us real estate agent names. Google short term vacation rentals.
Look at Saddlebrook, an over 55 community, Saddlebrook Ranch, Sun City Ofo Valley, also Quail Creek.
Contact
Solterra Vacation Realty, handles short term vacation rentals and may be your best bet.
520-261- 2646 or 888-850-2552.
What fits your description of amenities? All will have pools.

If you don't want to be in a city of 1 million (or 5 million) you could go west on I-8 toward Yuma. Friends that spend the summer in their motor home in central Oregon spend the winters in their park model in Welton which is a few miles east of Yuma.

Thanks for the great info. We would like to find someplace that has various activities where we could meet more people since we won't know anyone. I would love it if there were walking trails around the development and maybe even some water features to be able to watch the birds as well as medical facilities, restaurants and shopping fairly close by.

You should look in The Tucson Foothills to find what you are hoping for as requirements.
