Train from Lisbon to Algarve

Has anyone used Rail Ninja? We booked our train service with Rail Ninja and I hope it’s a reliable site.
Thank you!

There is no need to book Lisboa - Algarve trains ahead, unless you want to get a discounted ticket. The latter costs about 10 EUR/pax for the Lisboa - Faro leg and can be booked through https://www.cp.pt/passageiros/en

Please do NOT book with rail ninja. It isn't an official representative of Comboios de Portugal, the official Portuguese rail network. Always use www.cp.pt.
And if you book ahead at cp.pt the fare will be significantly discounted. You can book up to 60 days in advance and savings are substantial. We also book ahead to secure a considerable discount with cp.pt. They also have significantly discounted senior fares.

Unfortunately we can’t get our money back we purchased no refundable tix.

Should we consider this a loss and purchase new tix through Portugals train system?

Thank you!

The Lisbon-Algarve AP (Alfa Pendular) fast trains are inexpensive, especially if one books in advance (5, 8 or more days in advance) with a 65% discount and also inexpensive if one qualifies to purchase a senior discount ticket with a 50% discount. Tickets can be purchase 60 days prior to departure.
See the discounts here-

Rail Ninja are not an official agent of CP - Portuguese Railways. They simply use the public CP website on your behalf, and pocket the difference between what you paid them and what it actually costs on www.cp.pt. But you should get genuine tickets. Have you got them yet? What date?

No not yet we booked tix for mid April. I appreciate your knowledge our main concern is receiving the tickets. I’ll be more careful with future bookings. THANK YOU!

We received our tix yesterday. I’ll respond to this thread if we have issues using them.
Thank you everyone!

Hi Everyone - My train tickets worked and on my way to Faro. The train is running an hour behind which was very confusing. Luckily we met a few people on the platform which was a relief and very helpful.
Thank you!
