Baden Baden, Strasbourg and Bastogne

Hello,
We are spending 5 nights in late September in the Baden/Baden to Bastogne area. This will be after a 14 day safari since our return flight has a stop in FRA. We've spent considerable time in Germany and in the Heidelburg area as my husband worked there for several years.
The plan as of now is to drive from FRA to Baden Baden and spend 2 nights, then drive to Bastogne and spend 2 nights. Lastly, drive back to FRA and stay overnight at the airport before a morning flight back to San Diego.

I would love to hear any ideas on restaurants that can't be missed; as WW2 geeks, the list of things to do in Bastogne is endless. The plan in Baden Baden is to visit the spa (caracalla), casino, take the funicular, walk the arboretum, etc. We've been to BB a few times but its been around 10 years since the last visit. When driving to Bastogne, we'll stop in Strasbourg, see the cathedral again, the market square, etc. Would be interested in any wineries between Strasbourg and Bastogne. We've driven the wienstrasse before as well

Many thanks in advance.
