pastel de nata cooking class

I will be travelling through Portugal in April and would love to take a cooking class to learn how to make this amazing treat. I have seen typical tours in both the Porto and Lisbon area. Can anyone recommend a good one? Either city is fine, there will be 4 of us and we all would like to participate - meaning each of us making our own not one stirring and the other rolling if you know what I mean. Looking for something authentic, not a tourist trap tripadvisor class.

While we are here - suggestions for a mom and pop vineyard in the Evora area for a tasting would be much appreciated as well. TIA

The only one I know of isn’t in Lisbon but in a bakery in Mafra, reachable by bus. Mafra sits 28 km from Lisbon. You could make a day of it and also visit the Mafria Palace.

There are many wineries around Evora, but the ones that I’ve visited aren't mom and pop but instead larger productions like Cartuxa, Esporāo, Monte da Ravisqueira…

I have yet to visit this one

Here is a list by Nelson Carvalheiro of his favorite Alentejo wineries

And the official Wines of Alentejo page

Thank you Maribel! Side note - about 20 years ago you were a lifesaver in planning my trip to Spain. I still have your files and talk about them often when discussing travel and this site with others. It was a wonderful surprise to "see" you here. Thank you for sharing your experiences and wisdom with us for so many years!
