New Orleans Royal Sonesta Bourbon Street Balcony Suite

Hello Fodors friends. It has been ten years since I was in NoLa and I’m planning a weekend trip for first of March. Considering the two bedroom suite with large bourbon street balcony at the Royal Sonesta. Anyone have experience staying there? Specifically in those suites? Large enough for two couples?

I have loved the Monteleone, Loft 523, and a few other NoLa hotels in the past, but am not sure who, if anyone, has had updated renovations or where else I could get a balcony over Bourbon experience. I’ve always wanted to have cocktails in my own space but be able to watch the revelry below.

I realize it may not be very quiet when trying to sleep, but I’m a good sleeper, will have several cocktails before bed, and always travel with white noise. Do you think the noise would still be too much?

Many thanks and laissez les bons temps rouler!
