Two weeks with two teens
We are a family of 4 (teens aged 15 and 19) planning a two-week trip to northern/central Italy for June/July 2023. While I have been to Italy once before, the rest of the family hasn't. Venice is a priority - so we've opted to focus on the northern part of the country with the intention of a different trip for Rome, Naples & the Amalfi Coast at a later date
We'd like to combine some of the historic highlights with good food, beautiful sights and physical activity (bike, hike, beach/swim)
I'm hoping to stay in only 3-4 places, using them as a base for exploring - preferably an Airbnb. Also open to one of the farm stays
We are looking for suggestions and recommendations on the following tentative itinerary - things to do with teens, recommended duration for each region.
Fly to Venice
Venice
Bologna - Emilia-Romagna region
- Tour of one or more the Ferrari/Lamborghini/Maserati museums
Florence/Tuscany
- vespa tour of a Tuscan village
- day trip to Pisa
Liguria/Cinque Terre
- Genoa?
- Hiking Cinque Terre
- beach time
Fly back to US (Milan?)

Depending on the flight departure time, you might have to spend the last night in Milan or near Malpensa. Check any possible flight options from Pisa, Genoa and Florence which are all closer to the CT.
You don't say how many days you intend to spend everywhere, so it's difficult to comment much on your plan. Because of the crowds and departing flight logistics, I'd probably skip the Cinque Terre and spend a few days/nights in a smaller town or countryside location. A couple of days in Ferrara would be nice.
The Enzo Ferrari Museum near the Modena train station is great, easy to reach, and includes displays of cars other than just Ferrari. Visiting the (corporate) Ferrari museum in Maranello requires transportation. There are two Lamborghini museums and two Maserati museums, so compare before choosing. If you want to tour a factory assembly line, make sure you know what it includes. You can't view the Ferrari assembly line, and the other two are almost entirely computerized. If you want to see a super car being built by hand, look into the tour of Pagani.
