Best Snorkeling Islands Please

Hello! Looking for a 2 week trip to Caribbean or anywhere flight not too long of a flight from Florida for snorkeling, preferably swim from beach but will hire a boat if needed . Already snorkeled Curacao, Barbados, & Eleuthera. What islands would you suggest to try next. We like to rent a car and a local house and just explore the island, snorkel, and enjoy local food spots. Suggestions? TIA

We found some very good snorkeling on the following islands, listed in no particular order. NOTE - some of the suggested destinations may not meet your definition of "not too long of a flight from Florida":

St. John
St. Croix
Virgin Gorda + a number of the smaller nearby islands and cays
Bonaire
Providenciales (and some of the neighboring islands in the chain)
Long Island (Bahamas)
Anagada
Throughout the Grenadines (especially around the Tabago Cays)
Anguilla (good but limited snorkeling)

Smiths Reef in Provo, Turks & Caicos is very good for snorkelling, right off the shore.

Bonaire.

Guadeloupe - Jacques Cousteau reserve

St Lucia - Anse Chastanet reserve and Anse Cochon

Grand Cayman

Buccoo Reef In Tobago which is not mentioned very much but has several great snorkelling spots

Cozumel

"Flight not too far from FL" meaning not over 10 hours

St John has great snorkeling. We’ve gone three times and seen lots of turtles, huge rays, nurse sharks, octopus, squid, etc. We’re heading to Bonaire for our next trip. Our stay will last two weeks and we’ll snorkel most days.

Visited St. Thomas, St. John and Roatan. Hands down, snorkeling is best in Roatan. Reef life was more alive in Roatan. All 3 places have good access from beach.
