Hudson River Valley in early October
I am making tentative travel plans for the first week of October. Would there be any fall color in the Hudson River Valley yet? What would daytime high temps be? Have most attractions re-opened (Hyde Park, Olana)?

Yes, there will be about 80 percent of peak color during the first week. Peak color is usually around October 15. Of course, the weather could be a factor.
Most attractions are operating on a full schedule, but you should do your own research for the places that are important to you.

Yes, there will be plenty of fall color the 1st week of October.
Higher elevations (southern NY's Hudson Highlands, East of the river in the Taconics or Berkshires, and west in the Catskills) and further north will have more. So if you just stick to the immediate river valley it may be a wee bit early....
Early October is typically very nice weather. Daytime highs will be warm enough to wear a light long-sleeved shirt or light jacket.
